It's hard to fault the business sense, however, as the PS2 has a much higher installed based than its big brother, and it's not like these titles need much horsepower to run.
Though the recently announced disc-swapping feature is better then nothing, actual DLC would be much preferred. SingStar is the premier music franchise for PlayStation that lets you sing along to favorites songs along with the original artists and videos. It's a bit disappointing for SingStar fans that these songs are only going to be available on the PS2, instead of also coming to the PS3 as downloadable content. Includes Sony PS2 original game disc and may come with the original instruction manual and cover art when available. Head over to IGN for the complete track listings. And I tried both mounting it with Mount.ps2 and mountps2. The second Pop edition meanwhile, will include more contemporary acts like Fallout Boy and Maroon 5. And It tried mounting the PS2 game (I tried Singstar Pop and Singsat Anthems) with the Folder placed as A Subfoler within Singstar Intro, within its own Singstar Folder on USB 001 (/devusb006/GAMES/Singstar/SingStar Pop) and even placing it within hdd000/PS2ISO. The Country version will feature the likes Keith Urban, Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson, while Legends will include everyone from John Lennon to Marvin Gaye to Black Sabbath. This time around they have announced SingStar Country, Legends and Pop Volume 2.
Despite the promise of downloadable tracks for the PlayStation 3 version of SingStar, Sony continues to roll out new discs full of songs for the PS2.
